Laurel Meadow Elementary School Watch D.O.G.S. program provides a great way to include dads or male role models in the daily activities that take place here at LMES.
The purpose of WatchDogs:
To provide an adult male volunteer every school day.
A typical day for a WatchDog volunteer includes:
*Help provide a safe environment
*Assist with Traffic Safety
*Serve as a positive male role model
*Assist in the lunchroom
*Play with kids at PE and recess
*Attend art class
*Read with the students
*Assist in various school task
*BE A POSITIVE PRESENCE

What is Watch D.O.G.S. ?
WATCH D.O.G.S
("Dads of Great Student's)
is an innovatoive program from the National Center for Fathering focusing on prevention of violence in our nation's schools by using the positive influence of fathers and father-figures for a two-fold purpose: to provide an unobtousive presence in the school, and to be a positive and active role model for students.
